James started the ten-minute check manually on 2026-10-01. Ultra 2 / watchOS 27.2, off wrist, no attached debugger or device polling during acquisition. Runtime grant at 22:39:46.862Z expired nominally one hour later. Capture started at 22:39:46.993Z, entered inactive at 22:40:02.437Z, and continued until automatic stop at 22:49:51.761Z. No background scene transition was observed.

## Acquisition result

The preserved physical master `4636CD89-5097-458F-AC50-DAF7B70BFC76` contains 60,273 valid motion rows spanning 604.818259 seconds (10 minutes 4.8 seconds), averaging 99.653076 Hz. Median interval 0.010035 seconds; maximum 0.010035917 seconds. No nonpositive intervals, sequence discontinuities, gaps over 2.5 times median, or gaps over 100 ms. Receipt span is 604.819045 seconds. The ten-second probe polling cadence explains stopping several seconds beyond the requested duration.

This establishes ten-minute inactive off-wrist acquisition for this stationary trial with the runtime grant. It does not establish indefinite recording, actual background execution, chest-mounted measurement quality, repeatability, or noise/drift accuracy.

## Save failure remains

The journal records captureStopped at 22:49:51.876Z and saveStarted at 22:49:51.880Z. No saveFinished event appeared in the first or later retrieval. Manifest remains incomplete; checkpoint accepted/written count is 60,255 with lossCount=0, versus 60,273 actual rows. Checkpoint lossCount is not a final loss accounting. END exists, but is not proof of finalization. PID591 was still present after the trial. The failure is downstream of capture stop, within finalization or delivery of its completion; exact cause remains unknown. SessionWriter currently reloads and decodes the entire master before computing final statistics, which warrants measurement rather than assuming a deadlock.

A non-terminating foreground launch after recovery returned success, but a subsequent journal copy showed no new scene/save-completion entries.
